The 1986 Philippines Revolution: Nonviolent Because It Was For The People, By The People [ send me this paper ] 8 pages in length. Analyzing the 1986 Philippines revolution, it becomes clear that the rebellion was non-violent because it was for the people and by the people. Determined to make their stance known about the manner in which incumbent Ferdinand Marcos tampered with election results in order to thwart the reality of Corazon Aquino's victory, the people held "massive demonstrations" (Anonymous, 2000) that ultimately averted what would have been a decidedly more violent method of addressing the situation. In the end, Marcos succumbed to the nonviolent approach and "resigned under armed forces and American pressure" (Anonymous, 2000). Remember: Not all papers contain examples of thesis statements. Some provide information you can cite in support of your own thesis. To determine if a particular paper provides an exemplary thesis, review its description carefully. If the content suggests that the paper makes an argument or sets out to prove some point, then that paper inherently supports a thesis.
