Lopez, 419 U.S. 565 (1975) [ send me this paper ] A 2 page summary of this Supreme Court case, in which several students brought a class action suit against a Southern Ohio school board for suspending them from school without hearing either before or after the fact. The students' argument is that they were denied the due process afforded by the Fourteenth Amendment, and wanted all reference to their suspensions removed from their permanent records.
